Rock Couch to 5 K Podcast

It’s kind of like Mushrooms…just because I don’t like them and think they’re weird doesn’t mean other people don’t eat them and enjoy them.  That’s how I look at my Rock  Podcasts.  I don’t really like the music, but obviously other people do.  I’ve added all 9 weeks of my Rock/Oldie/Metal Couch to 5K Podcasts to the 5 K Training Download page.  I don’t have the  all of the playlists posted yet, but I’ll get them up soon.

  1. Hi Carli, I’ve been reading your blog for a little while now and am on my second attempt to get to the end of the couch to 5k programme! Thanks you SO much for your podcasts, they have been such a help getting me along the road to fitness 😀 Also I am thrilled that there is a new set of rock downloads. Because I am starting again from scratch (back at week 2!) its lovely to have new music. You’re a star!

  2. …mushrooms..you are a riot…. hey girl, I’ve got a slammin’ 39 min country set when you get to that genre… (includes Johnny Cash, Dixie Chicks) 🙂 [seriously] have a great weekend…. we got another 8 inches of snow today. Shoot me.

    • Helen & Carli – I’m new to to c25k program & have suffered thru techno or dance music(?) . would love to have country. Anxiously await those podcasts!!!

  5. Mama Helen, I have such an aversion to mushrooms, they’re just weird, lol! I also had an aversion to posting My Rock C25KPodcast, but people kept asking me for it, so I decided to post it for everyone. We’ve got 8 inches of snow too 🙁 There’s supposed to be more tonite. *sigh* Country??? Oh boy…

  7. Carli, thank you so much for posting your Rock C25K podcast. I’m just starting out, finished W1D2 of the program today. Your podcast makes going on the treadmill so much more enjoyable! Expecting 8-14 inches more here in New Jersey…will enjoy reading your blog during this time.

  8. Sharon, I guess you’re one of the “mushroom people” LOL! Glad you like it. Hope you are enjoying Week 2 as well. Looks like more treadmill training until the weather clears.

    I like your rock podcasts, too. Today I did week 3, day 2. Week 3 is so mellow and nice to run to. I have a couple of other podcasts I listen to sometimes, but always do yours too. I am 44 and about 100 lbs. overweight. I am very motivated to do this! I am so glad I found your blog!

  10. OMG OMG OMG!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!! I’ve so wanted to complete a C25K but would get a week into it and couldn’t take the techno music! I went out to dinner with a friend last night and she was talking about her husbands 20 yr. reunion coming up and wanting to get into shape in a healthy way by June…btw she was in the ARMY so she did run at one time in her life but claims she only did it because someone was behind her with a gun at her back! …anyway we both started talking about a C25K at the same time… so I told her I was going to search for one with music that didn’t su@@…. I LOVE your podcast so far…haven’t even started but just sitting hear writing this lisetening to the music…. I KNOW this is going to work! Wow what a GREAT job you have done! You have a really blog hear I’m so glad I stumbled on it!!!! We hope to get started today! Thanks so much!

  11. Finally a C25K training program with no techno music, which gets to me so bad that I can’t stick to the program. Did D1W1 today and I actually liked it. Who would have thought?! I have to agree with Kathy. Like her I love your podcast so far. Like your blog too! Both I’m sure will make it easier to stick to the program. Thank you!

    I like the podcast thing to support c25k, but I can’t listen that music for more of 5 sec and sure NOT for 5k. 😛

  13. Thank you for your podcasts! I found them in time for w1d3 and it was helpful. Did w2d1 tonight and accidentally played the non-rock one, but it kept me going. Running in the dark so nobody can see me!

  14. Just starting the program and like the rock music for week 1. I do a spin cycle class twice a week but wanted to get into running and believe this will help. I would like you to add a message stating half way done so I can know when to turn around and head back to my starting point.
