Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mother’s out there!  You have one of the most important jobs in the world, and we all to often take it for granted.  So I wanted to say thanks for all you do.  I took my Little Sister to her biological Mother’s grave site today, where she left a bright smiley face balloon.  I don’t think I ever told you all the whole story.  Her mother was my Dad’s 1st cousin and she died at the young age of 40.  She was a single Mom of a 9 year old, and my parents adopted her.  For a while she was my Sister-Cousin, and after few years, it became too complicated to explain the story and now she’s just my Sister.  The trip to the cemetery reminded me how grateful I am to have a wonderful mother and the strong relationship that we share.  So thank you Mama for being you, and raising me to be all that I am today.  Love ya!

  1. Hey there!

I have found your podcast, and I LOVE IT! It is sooo much easier than trying to time it myself and then having to worry about all the numbers(sets adn times of running adn walking).
My only question is, do you have the first podcast avaliable for download anywhere? ( I know those songs more than ones for the rock podcast). Either way, I am still going to use this podcast on my runs 🙂
    Again, thank you for this!

  2. Bekah, welcome! Both the orignal and the rock podcast are available for free download, just go to this link and click the top link that says “Week 1 Podcast” in Gold writting. https://carlifierce.com/5k-training-downloads/week-1-c25k/

  3. Perfect! Thank you so much :]

Just another question, how do you deal with those nasty calf cramps? I’m running everyday instead of everyother (so I have already done my 3 runs of this week) and I tried to do a fourth this morning and I got about half way and my knees/calves started to literally burn..
I do stretch a bit before I run, but not too much.
Just some concerns I had/was wondering about..

Thank you again! I love this and the 60 second runs have turned from a hard thing to do, to something I look forward to each morning.
    Bekah

  4. Bekah, I have no idea how to deal with the calf cramps, yesterday during Week 3, my calfs felt tight and twisted like a giant rope. It was unbelieveable. I don’t know what to do during the run, but Stretching is most important after your run. It helps not to be so sore the next day.
