I drug myself out of bed at 10 this morning and cooked some breakfast. I tend to stick to my workout plan better when I have a specific plan like, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Finally by about 1 this afternoon I was able to dig out enough motivation to go to the park. I knew before I got there that I didn’t feel like running. My stomach was hurting and I was tired. As soon as I heard the running plan for today, I changed to another song. That’s pretty bad to turn off my own podcast, but I just didn’t feel like it. I wanted to take in the beautiful fall day; it was a sunny, yet breezy 75 degrees. I strolled along and looked at the different lakes and trees. There couples on picnics and Dad’s fishing with their kids. Then, I ran into some new construction and a fork in the road of my normal path. I was being adventurous and decided to try the road less traveled. There was a newly paved path on the opposite side of the lake. I almost got lost, but was nice to see the park from a different perspective. Or, I was just walking so slowly, that I actually paid attention to the ripples in the pond and the burnt orange colored autumn leaves. I enjoyed it; it was nice to relax with nature after long week at work. After about an hour, I had made my way back to my car. I’ll probably start Week 3 on Monday, because tomorrow I have a studio appointment. Our goal is to finish Week 2 of the Bridge to 10K podcast. I’m going to work on getting the page setup for you download soon. Well, I’ll chat with y’all later, I’m about to take a shower and go to the movies with my girl from work. Have a Great Weekend!
Thank you again for all of you hard work with the podcast. I will be finished week 9 if the Couch to 5K podcast and have run 2 5Ks so far. Both times were 37 mins. I could not have done it without your podcast. I just noticed that the B210K will be loaded at the end of this week so I guess I have no excuse to keep going!!!
Thanks again!!!
Kim
Wow Kim, you’re quick! I just put the page up last night, it’s still “Under Construction” but Week 1 and Week 2 of my Bridge to 10K plan will be posted later this week. That’s a great race time, keep up the good work! No Excuses!
